Why does my save get cleared literally every single time I load the game? It just randomly started happening at some point so I stopped bothering to play. Recently picked the game back up hoping that the issue was fixed but to no avail. Even setting up cloud saves doesn't fix it. I have to log in manually every single time.

It is your browser security/privacy settings that is causing the issue.  Brave and incognito simply will not perserve the data that has your saves/settings.  Others also wont depending on your browser settings.

If that's the case though, then why did it suddenly start happening? I'd played the game for a good two or three months before the issue cropped up and hadn't changed anything on my end regarding privacy settings.

Sometimes when an update happens the url et cetera that itch is hosting from for the game (which is running in an iframe) changes, People have definitely had that trigger the privacy stuff before when it wasn't.


Unfortunately there just isn't a fix outside of trying different browser or getting the proper whitelist setup et cetera.


resources received while away (the offline progress) seems to struggle calculating my 1 day and 7 hours after getting that AI upgrade. As it's been calculating for a solid minute by now.

I let it calculate for 6 minutes and refreshed... now the timer is just 6 minutes higher.

There was a bug with late game calculating in general. Now it should work for you fine.

I am not sure, but it's view like missiles now can't collide any target.

I found it when do prestige today and fitted missile4. (With no core upgrades)

Missiles just fly through target causing no damage (when other weapons just oneshot enemies)

Upd: Now this problem gone... I don't know what changed, but I checked game reloading before, and make no refits/new-prestige.

I've not run into this, let me know if it happens again sometime.

Will we ever see a Linux version? Godot supports it, so hopefully it wouldn't be too much trouble.

I'm enjoying it a lot, but the way the browser version goes to sleep at the slightest provocation is annoying.

I saw that a Linux version had been uploaded and tried it out, but some weird things happened with my bomb launchers, so I'm guessing it's not fully baked yet -- I'll wait for you to say it's ready for testing.

Yeah I put it up there to have people test but it's got some issues still. What was the issue with the bomb launcher?

It was deleveled to 0 and much weaker than the bomb launcher in the web version. Looking at the prestige tab showed that there were now v1 and v2 bomb launchers available and it had given me the v1, but even the v2 was much weaker than the unversioned bomb launcher in the web build, gaining 12 damage/level rather than 600.

Oh thats just cuase its an in progress build for next version and kinetic getting v1s on same level as lasers so everything bumps down one (you would jujst need to retrofit to the new higher one)

Really struggling with the achievement of clearing every stage up to 59 (a,b,c) not because it's hard, but because it's long.

With the many paths that'll require a little micro and the speed limit, I keep getting distracted by something and then that 72 min time limit flies by.

Would be really nice to be able to slot shards anywhere now that links would make such a thing useful (especially with the salvage shard), either by default or with an upgrade.

You mean like ignore what slots they are locked to entirely?  I don't think that would work even with the links, if a shard that doesn't have any bonus on blue is in the blue slot, linking to it's not going to get any bonus out of that shard

No, I mean having the salvage shard placed on, say, green, and linking it to pink to enable its effect. Right now my +salvage loadout needs to have the Salvage shard on pink, meaning all other links between pink will be one-sided since Salvage offers nothing else. I'd rather put a more link-friendly shard on pink, like Battle, but right now I can't do that without losing out on the Salvage shard entirely.

I think I get the idea... which could be useful now that we can have multiple links.
example of current: salvage shard has to be in pink, battle shard linked to pink.
example of idea: battle shard in pink, salvage shard linked to it to activate it's effect.
result of idea: Allowing for battle shard's links to be used to activate pink effects on other shards.

Really digging this at the moment, but I have to ask - will this ever be on Steam? 

I'd like to easily follow development. I know there's a fee for getting a game onto Steam, so I've gone ahead and put some money into that goal if it's ever planned to happen.

It is in fact coming to steam!  I am currently working on setting it up to work with the steam api and get the store page and steam setup fee etc all straightened out.  Thanks for pitching in!

Am I missing something on the final Compute challenge? I can get every bar full green, yet 2.0 Laser and 1.0 Kinetics are the only tiers I can get leveled effectively, 3.0 Laser and 2.0 Kinetic start costing way more $ than the maxed out computing produces around column 5, and Sector 18 boss 1 shots 2.0 shields.
Update: Found something busted enough to get me one-shotting up to sector 20, but now even that DPS isn't keeping up and the normal enemies are one-shotting me before I can get to the boss.

9 is rough.  You need to farm Improved Tracking and resources for a while.  And probably use a good weapon setup too.

Try running 2 deflectors, 1x Beam 2.0 or 3.0 (3.0 means more time to farm compute to max it, but you might need a ton of farm time regardless), 4x Laser Cannon (1.0 or 2.0 doesnt matter much) with Supportive Routing and support damage nodes and 1x Bomb for Volley access. Farm for a while, and then user your actives at the right time should do it.

For some reason 2 deflectors never occurred to me, I'll give that a shot!

Would it be possible to have a setting that has Weapon/Shield cores remember their branching settings between resets? Like if I want to loop with my same loadout but not have to manually select Fire Rate Synergy on the missiles if it was selected before the reset.

Having target closest as the only target setting doesn't seem to actually do that even with preference to not change targets it seems it will target the newest enemies for at least one volley before seeming to just target at random.

Also refreshing the browser version while in a warp closes the warp.

Closest seems to work fully correctly for me. Do you have a type priority set also?

Is the way to get the "Who would try to cheat an achievement???" secret achievement to ask how to get it in here? XD

can someone please help me understand base carry? it looks like there's no way of making progress inside of it, there's no way of gaining battle materials, so you can't upgrade the base stats, so you can't progress with the waves. Am i missing something? There's something you can do, or do you have to farm outside of it and come back stronger?

You just farm outside of it and come and complete it when you have enough slots and levels . It's pretty much just a puzzle to solve as your power will not grow during the run once you've set your bases up

What are the odds of hitting something with phase jump power without disruptor? or is it not something odds based but rather overkill? as I did take out the 53A boss, but can't hit the 54 boss.

Do the XP multiplier and Crew Skill upgrades purchased with Scrap and Void persist through prestige or reset?

no, i think crew are retired on prestige. and mastery exp resets, not levels, too.

Anyone have a strategy for stage 48? I just get insta-killed

Hmm, I currently at sector 52(53 kill me in new special way...), and I can't remember any special except difficulty wall before some previous update was appeared.

Just make challenges to boost other aspects and go be stronger.

Personally I choice synth as primary target to upgrade.

don't forget crew, energy technician can really ramp up your reactor boosts.
I like synth as a priority to upgrade as it's easy to see progress in some fashion.

I walked-through 48 before crew update. And don't remember req. to unlock they.

I was nearly maxed out before crew update, I think the issue with 48 is the long range ship, which I'd advice some charge lasers or bomb launchers for their range buffs if you're struggling with them. But since that message is from 6 days ago I think it's no longer an issue.

I think 48 was difficulty walled before update, but I beat it just as update released, and after stopped at ~52 (in one strike) I was inspect for new features and now I still at 52 working with crew etc...

the earlier the warp, the earlier the cap. I think I may have found the pattern, but 3 dots doesn't confirm a line yet.

Alpha caps at 41, Beta at 46, Ceta at 51, I'd assume Delta will be 56, and so on

While playing I got no webgl error and after that the game loaded as a new game. To prevent this happening again, I signed for the cloud. Then I imported my offline save from my last backup save. But I believe I am missing the 100 AI points for cloud.

How long is this game!? I thought I was getting near the end, but I'm only 1/10 of the way there! I wouldn't have been surprised if this was a paid game, it's been two months of playtime. Great work

Cloud save view buggy...

A couple of months ago I already have cloud account, and after new update(just after reg. account, not current) I can't login with wrong passwod.

My first thought cloud DB just wiped, but I can't reg. with same name...

I reg new account and recheck login/logout three times, password relative simple and stored in password manager.

Now, new update new local-save wipe, I reload from backup save, but can't login because wrong password, and can't re-reg. name already exists... (I tries enter password many times and auto-type with password manager, same as when I check it while last reg.)

I don't lost any save or something, just write about strange behavior

Hmmm, after a quick test the couple accounts I have for testing etc still work ok, even ones I havent tried for a while.  When you setup an account now it works fine right?

Second account still inaccessible, but I can login into first one just now.

I have no ideas other than layout bugs.  (As I already said i at least triple rechecked credentials when reg. second account, and countless times when reporting it)

I can't just copy paste password because web version have own copy&paste buffer, and can't copy pass to login field to check it visually.

I think 24 hours of offline progress is a bit too much, maybe make 6 by default and add upgrade for AI  points?

I disagree, some people, like me, don´t have time to play every day, sometimes I am even serveral days offline, so 24h is great. I would even like some quest or synth or something, to be able to be able to collect offline time even more, or another mechanic/upgrades/synths/switches etc. where you can switch between idle/offline and active/online or idle/online, each having some advantages over others, just like we switch things around for all the different parts of the game.

Thats not hooked up yet T.T  If you really want to buy some you can yell at me in discord.  Otherwise just hold out for a bit as they start to roll in pretty quickly as you get higher achievements

can you make a website or something so i can let the game run in the background without it hibernating? i want to advance the sectors in the background

This is one of the most balanced and aesthetically pleasing games I have ever played. Thank you very much for doing it.

Most of the time I have no idea of the overall mechanics. But a few days in I see what has to be done. (This is a compliment. I play for distraction). 

Oh I'm glad you think it's aesthetically pleasing!  I personally like the color scheme etc, but was afraid it might be a bit too different.

AI info says we can purchase AI points but it's not clear how/where this can be done. If that's actually implemented you might provide clarity on this point.

It is not yet.  I will be adding that in shortly before getting this on steam, sometime after the next content patch.  Should probably remove that text for now...

Here's a snippet of the Core Computing challenge thing I was talking about.  I wonder if I activated the challenge the moment sector 24 boss was killed? As you can see the game thinks I've cleared up to sector 24, but my challenge target is only 19. 

Is 35/40 shards the max? I can't see what I'm missing if not.

I just had the weirdest thing happen that I'm not sure how to properly replicate it as I wasn't paying attention. I'll write down what happened to the best I can.


I had just finished Synth Purity Challenge 4/4, reset to do Base Carry 3/6, finished that, went afk for a few minutes, changed the ship weapons and shields around, started Core Computing 7/9 (I was at 6/9 completed), and it immediately completed just as the prestige reset was happening. I was at 6/9, started the challenge with a reset, now at 7/9 at Sector 1.

Odd, I tried to recreate it and failed, but ill keep an eye out.

I wish I could be of more help, but I was not paying attention to what exactly I did / where I was that could have caused it. I hope others can help more on the matter if it does happen again.

could you share your weapon loadouts and tips for this challenges? Cause I'm somewhat stuck. I have a full warptree for a 0.30v and currently at sector 52

Can I get a short summary as to what each base building does during the challenge? I feel like I'm understanding it but I'm having issues completing the 4th level of the base challenge.

materials give a shield multiplier

components a damage multiplier

parts a multiplier multiplier (battle multiplier)

boosts boost and a penalty

drain reduce reduces the penalty

having trouble? I went glass cannon: for base carry I went base1 optimized for damage base2 optimized for battle mult base 3 max penalty reduction + battle mult. trusting outranging the enemies + 2 deflectors to do the trick, which worked for me till 4/6 after which I just didn't have enough damage output.

That's where I'm stuck, I can get to the boss of sector 14 but not past it, and I can't seem to squeeze any more DPS out unless I'm missing something. I'll give your method a shot and see if it makes anything click, thanks!

it will be very difficult to beat base challenge for 4.  that's meant for when you get the 4th base Basically. I had to leave in the extras due to a technical issue So it's a little misleading that they existed all really.

End game is popping the stand alone on steam which will handle updates for me :p

I got everything done except for base carry challenge and maxing out warp drive's battle improvement mk3

I don't think that will improve my base carry challenge odds. And only the third station is improving at a rate that's only hours per building level.

I’m at a similar point. But am also missing Core Computing 8 & 9. Did you complete them before the rebalance? I have ~2e6 compute component bonus from Base2 and am far away from finishing CC8. I used max-1 weapons and can upgrade them to level 110. I can’t see a way to progress significantly further…

Also base carry seems to be partially broken. I usually have boosts in a checkerboard pattern. When I for example have a battle mult bossted by 3 and one boosted by 2 boosters. If I change the one bossted by 2 to a battle/shield building, the boost will increase although it should have been lowered. This is not a penalty issue. The penalty doesn’t change.

I completed almost everything before the rebalances, my base2 is lower. I think your issue may be weapon choice, don't be afraid to retrofit to other weapons nor forget to use your reactor.

For core computing 8 you'll need to be able to basically max the 2.0 weapons.  9 is "possible" at the moment but is not actually realistically doable as there's just not quite enough compute power/speed in the game at the moment to achieve it in a reasonable amount of time.

I just finished CC8 by abusing supportive routing and having 9x Improved tracking. Is it possible to get >10x in the challenge?

yeah improved tracking will scale forever just at a reduced rate. So you could theoretically sit there and farm it for a couple of days and get another completion done probably.

To better phrase the question: Is the softlimit 10x or is it 100x because of the challenge? It scaled quite a bit faster then usual, maybe 10x faster.

Does the Void Beacon work offline / affect offline gains? 

PS: Love the game, will be donating when I can, one of the best idle games that has kept me entertained.

it does not work offline. The offline calculations aren't sophisticated enough to determine how quickly you would clear a wave and spawn the next et cetera.

Also, really like the synergy changes, it lets me have a (very not optimal but fun) full suite of missile launcher spam XD

yeah I think I might end up tweaking it a little bit in the in the future, but these are much more fun than the plain old damage buffs

An option to set Reactor consumption based on VM per second would be cool

I don't know about your intentions, but I do slightly wish that the bonus deflector would only trigger based on the trigger settings, and not on any incoming damage. 

the bonus proc is meant to solely provide general damage production.  Basically is this the way to get a benefit from the deflector defensively other than deflecting the huge shots .

it's making me wonder, what map would be the best to farm 'improved targeting' and 'ablative shielding'? of course with the next wave module.

waves everywhere spawn fully within 5 seconds max.  so the only variable is how quickly they get in your range and if you can 1shot them.  so just any mostly small enemy section that you can insta clear is good
