Is there an "impossible" difficulty spike at the end of the available content to prevent going into undefined territory? The difference between 40 and 40.5 seems utterly staggering, but it lines up with "content available up to 6200".

yes that sector scales impossibly. So the 40.5 warp won't be doable either.  That scaling will be put in line with the other sectors in the next content update in a week or so here

An upgrade to Synth that lets you queue things better would be cool. Like split Synth 1 and 2 from 3 and 4 so I can have 1 and 2 Smart Synthing Circuitry and 3 and 4 Smart Synthing Focusers without 1 and 2 taking all of the Alloy since Circuitry is cheaper and preventing 3 and 4 from ever making any Focusers.

Do you have a changelog of what was fixed or tweaked during each update?

Click the version number button near  the top for a at least partially complete list.

Kinda annoying that for some reason the game is constantly telling me that there's an update and I should save and refresh...when I did so  not even five minutes ago.

A lot of this is great, but base building fundamentally doesn't work as a prestige mechanic because your reward isn't based on the content that gets reset, its progress is almost entirely independent of the main game.

Also you can cheese a lot of things by toggling core upgrade option things. Like switching to active ability duration/cooldown, activating active ability, then switching back to the passive boost. Or switching the beam from ramp up to power if it's already targeting something.

this is definitely a low prestige frequency game. The base is just to give you some reason to prestige sometimes especially especially once you have retrofits to use.  I agree that it's a bit disconnected however.

As for the cheese stuff, toggling the core options and modules to eek more power out is entirely intentional.  being able to "pro gamer" it a bit to kill a boss slightly sooner is cool imo.

Great so far.  Tried setting up a cloud save and it claims the account already exists, which I feel is unlikely.  Could you check cloud account "vaxhax" ?  Maybe it got corrupted at create time. thanks!

there's a bug in the current version that screws this up.  I can fix it for you if you give me your Player ID in the bottom left of the settings screen, its just a random ID so you can post it here no worries.

Really enjoying the game so far. I haven't reached the Warp stage of the game yet, so I'm not sure if this is one of the upgrades, but I would really like to be able to stack shields rather than split damage between them. That would open up some configurations like using a Bulk generator behind a Continuous generator so that minor damage doesn't reset the regen delay on the bulk generator.

I could see it being an option like the "targeting" options for weapons, but you select `Layer: Outer/Inner` to designate which shields would take damage first.

This seems like it would be a good feature to add as a module, that way you have to tie up a module slot in order to take advantage of it.

I particularly love the tooltips on various stats and multipliers, and I wish more idle games did this.  Understanding the math that goes into each feature makes a huge difference in my ability to optimize and my overall satisfaction.  Great work Sylv!

For the Unbound Research, some sort of progress indicator to go up to the next tier would be cool, like how long/how many points needed to go from 1x to 2x, etc

The most recent version that I just updated too broke the update all button for the core upgrades. It is now able to buy an upgrade for all the cores even if you don't have the scrap to pay for any of them.

Thats fixed.  If you're still on that version feel free to have fun I suppose Just be careful with making the number go too high that it screws up your save.

The Flex Shard II updated version will discard additional shards if it was counted as completed before updating to 100 in lieu of 50. I think a check list menu of currently discovered shards that we would like to be automatically discarded would be nice as a fix but whatever works easiest is fine with me.

Enjoying the game so far but looks like there's no way to un-focus research after it's been focused? I tried unchecking the box but it doesn't do anything. All I can seem to do is focus it elsewhere and not unlock the focus at all.

There is no need to unfocus. You still get research in all fields. The focused one get a boost.

That's by design. Focusing makes that research faster. It doesn't make the others slower. So there's no reason to ever unfocus. You always want one of the categories focused.

I was stuck on level 17 for 2 days because I didn't know you could paint over the squares in your base for prestige bonuses. I must've skipped the tutorial pop up and there isn't any info on the prestige tab about base management. I only found out because I looked at the screenshots.

Thanks for the feedback, I added a better hover tooltip and an info box.

Another for the suggestions box: Shard Drop Rate in Sector Data updating to show actual % chance based on current buffs you have?

Great game! I've been enjoying it for a few weeks now and I'm appreciating all the QOL and balance updates.

I've noticed that the energy voids will sometimes appear mostly off the edge of the screen, making them difficult to see and click. I believe that sometimes they may also appear entirely off-screen or possibly behind the UI buttons for shield boosts/volleys/etc, as there have been some very long periods where I can't seem to find any at all.

Very nice game, it can be both more interactive or idle, which is perfect for when you have more or less time to dedicate.

Lots of content and also a very nice prestige system, in other games doing prestige is a bit painful but here is a real pleasure just to get the next new toy.

This is a lot of fun.

My most pressing annoyance is that I play on linux, which uses "alt+click" for its own purposes. Which means I have to drag and drag all those crystals to merge them. I will soon unlock the AI thing, but a way to remap such buttons would be very appreciated.

Oh shoot, the last update made discarding possible for Mac, but I didn't realize altclick was also an issue for some people on Linux ><.  I'll look into double click to merge or a merge all button or something.

Unsure what's causing it, but the module costs I have pinned to the Synth screen change the order they're in. Like, I'll pin them in order left to right but now the Salvage Gain module cost is on the far right

I haven't run into this. figured it might be on a load or a prestige, but it doesn't seem to trigger that behavior for me.

I'll keep an eye on it, try and pin down what I do before it happens

I've seen this as well. The order only seems to change after I've upgraded the modules, with the most recently updated module moving to the end of the list.

The ctrl + click to delete shards doesn't seem to work on Mac.

oh I didnt even think of that.  hmmmmmm.  ill try to figure something out, no Mac for testing though

That's interesting, I'm using Firefox, so it might be a Firefox or Firefox + Max issue?

Just for the suggestions box: Some sort of indicator for what turrets are where on the ship customization screen. Something like numbers on the ship graphic?

Ill think about this a bit.  I did fix the turret order so its at least intuitive though.

There seems to be an issue with the 'shards gained' offline calculation. Just now the "resources received while away" screen claimed i had gotten 234 more compute shard IV, but then i only had *12* more gained when i looked at my actual shard counts. This is with auto merge on, auto discard off, and with my existing compute shard in the orange slot when i turned off the game last night.

Should be fixed now.

Something might be slightly off with the running in the background bit, when the "Resources Gained While Away" window pops up it turns off all of the reactor modules. =)

Update: It was doing it with consistent repeatability, but now it's not, but I haven't refreshed the page since. Will keep an eye on it.

Update2: okay, I'm not sure how much leeway there is, but it seems like if your Void Power Generation per second is not far above your consumption (example, I currently have it operating at around 2 void power generated per second  more than is being spent) and the reactor modules get turned off when the window pops up

there was a bug that was kind of related to this. I just fixed it. let me know if it still occurs for you.

There seems to be either a display or calculation bug with the improved tracking (% increase in damage from kills) upgrade for at least the kinetic cannon (not sure about the others, or the shield equivalents; only have my kinetic cannons up to that point in this run). The upgrade claims to give ~3.77x increase, but the actual increase in damage, and the value shown in the damage calculation itself, is ~2.18x

I looks like the tool tip on the node itself isn't taking the taking the soft cap into account. thanks for the heads up I'll get that fixed

I noticed a bug in the prestige screen where the upgrade display at the bottom of the screen was empty and contained a button instead of the usual stuff. After pressing it, most of the game glitched out. Bullets froze when fired, enemies didn't die when their hp reached zero. I restarted the game and now attempting to synth a different resource shows nothing at all. Reloading/ascending doesn't fix it. I'm completely locked out of synth resources.

same bug here pressing the "1.0" button after selecting the frigate ship type it exits the game and everything is bugged =/

in the Synth/Synth screen, you've got the list of materials in the top right with the totals.  Can it be a tool tip to show the level of that resource as you hover over please? I'm always going to the "select asset to work with" to see the other asset levels for what I should burn some resources on before prestige resetting.

I /might/ be having some odd bugs with reactor purchases not being 1 or 2, but hundreds of thousands.  Should I dump my save game here or is there a better way of doing that!

Im not 100% sure what you mean, post a pic or your save file (or setup the cloud saves and tell me the username) and I can look into it.

I spent a run maxing my Void Power Generation capacity to buy some upgrades, but instead of just getting another one extra rank, if you hit max on.. Boost Synth Speed, it goes to 105 instead of 8 like it should have.  All the 'max' values didn't just add a single level, but far more than expected for trying to buy one more level.

OK I found the issue thanks.  Next update (prolly this next weekend) Ill have a fix for that happening and setting your max back correctly.
